Spooner Family | A family session in a cool alleyway in downtown Clinton, Iowa
I was so excited to hear from Kara! I first met her in May when I photographed the Clinton Community College nursing pinning ceremony. My dad hooked me up with that gig; he’s one of the instructors for the nursing program and thought it would be great for them to have the event documented. This was my second time photographing the pinning and it’s been such a privilege to watch the hard work pay off for the students. Kara sat with us for lunch after and we got to chit chat, she’s so kind and I know my dad loves working with her as well. So when she emailed me to ask if I could do her family pictures of course I said yes! Thankfully we found a date that worked during this crazy busy Fall photography season and even got super lucky with the weather.
Even though the handsome men in her family were a little less than thrilled to have family portraits taken, it didn’t take them long to relax and make it a fun experience! I loved their session and the photos we got from it…here are some of them!
