Barbara + Derick / an intimate winter wedding / The Warehouse, Clinton, IA

Barb wished for snow on her wedding day. Well, Mother Nature granted her wish and gave her allllll the snow! Their wedding date was 01/12/2024…the biggest blizzard we’ve had all winter! But that didn’t stop this beautiful couple from saying “I do,” in front of their closest loved ones.

The ceremony was at Zion church in Clinton, Iowa with the reception following at the Warehouse downtown. This was one of Pastor Mark’s final wedding ceremonies, as he will be retiring soon. I know it meant a lot to the families to have him officiate and as always, he did a wonderful job.

The reception space was stunning! I adored all of the greens and mauve, snow globes, glitter and of course Gary the owl! I love the Warehouse for smaller weddings and events. If you haven’t been there, definitely check it out! We’re so lucky to have this space in town.

I must say, it always feels extra special to photograph these small, intimate weddings. By the end of the day, I’m reaching for tissues right next to the family members! It was a memorable and amazingly beautiful, one-of-a-kind wedding for an amazingly beautiful, one-of-a-kind couple. Congratulations again to Mr & Mrs Shirley!
