Taihlor + Ben / a fun fall wedding in Clinton, Iowa

Taihlor and Ben got married on the most beautiful early fall day in Clinton, Iowa!

First of all, I love when clients get ready at home, it makes them feel so much more relaxed and bonus! It adds such a personal touch to their images. This is exactly what Taihlor chose to do. The gals met us at her house once they finished up at the salon. Vibe Beauty Bar (located in Fulton, IL) nailed it with their looks. All of the ladies were stunning!

I had the privilege of working with a second shooter, Jackie Bartlett. She captured some moments with the groom while he got ready at the Community Congregational Church. Then we all met up at one of Clinton’s best photo spots, the Bickelhaupt Arboretum! It’s always a favorite anytime of the year. Taihlor and Ben shared a first look and we took TONS of portraits… pretty sure everyone had sore cheeks from all the smiling!

Side note, I was completely obsessed with the flowers for this wedding! Just ask the bride… I probably mentioned their gorgeousness a hundred times! Very well done by Melanie’s Flowers. I’ve photographed her bouquets before and she never disappoints!

These bouquets perfectly complimented the rust colored bridesmaid dresses that were purchased at A Storybook Ending Bridal Salon in Dewitt, IA. The beautiful bride found her dress at the same bridal shop and it looked like it was made for her! Seriously, so pretty!

It was honestly hard to let them leave, I was having way too much fun taking their pictures! But alas, they had a pretty important date to get to… so at 3:00 PM on September 24, 2022 Taihlor and Ben said their “I Do’s” and became Mr and Mrs Johnson!

After just a few more fun photo ops with the family and wedding party we all headed to Clinton’s wonderful Vista Grande where guests enjoyed food from Corner Deli, cake from Sweetheart Bakery and a night full of fun and dancing provided by Gateway Mobile DJ. I always enjoy working with Cody, he really keeps the party moving and communicates so well with the fellow wedding vendors (myself included)!

It was such a beautiful day and a super fun night, I couldn’t be happier for these two as they begin this next chapter of life. Congratulations again Taihlor and Ben, I hope your wedding was everything you imagined and more!
